This is a very enjoyable book for those who like books set in historical times and the Christian perspective. I enjoyed watching the characters struggle with the great challenge in life and coming to terms with how God could allow certain things to happen. There is a nice mixture of action/adventure, gentle romance, some humor, and spiritual growth. I wouldn't buy my own copy, but I would enjoy a re-read in the future. -Laurie S.
