This book was hard for me to get into and to care about the characters. It was the first time I have read about the Amish. So, it was interesting to get a glimpse of what their life might be like. While I appreciate the spiritual awakening, this book didn't really grab me. I appreciate that there was no violence, swearing, or sexual relations discussed. -Laurie S.
