In Fire and Ice, Jance again combines two of her scenes, with JP Beaumont investigating from the Seattle, Washington area, and Joanna Brady from the Bisbee, Arizona area. The Seattle area prostitute serial killer and the homicide of a camp ground supervisor in Arizona beomes entangled when one of Joanna's detectives' sister becomes an identified victim in Washington. The cases are further united as part of a drug mofia operation under investigation b the DEA. Of course, these homicides, as well as an abusive assisted care facility, are all sowed in a joint effort. -Beverly N.
