Savvy by Ingrid Law is a fast-paced, enjoyable read. It’s a juvenile chapter book that puts a new spin on savvy. Each member of the Beaumont family receives a special gift on their thirteenth birthday. Unlike other gifts, theirs don’t come wrapped in a pretty package. They end up with a talent that goes a little farther than artistic ability or knowledge and sometimes needs to be harnessed. This was a funny but touching story and a lot of fun to read. -Holly B.
