Captive Queen, A novel of Eleanor of 'Aquitaine by Alison Weir

This lengthy audio book is a novel of the time of Henry II and Eleanor, Duchess of Aquitaine from their meeting and marriage at the age of 19 (Henry) and 29 (Eleanor) who had been married to Louis King of France since she was 15. She had 2 daughters with Louis and six living children by Henry who were used from very young ages as pawns in marriage and titles over many years. Early on it seemed to be an old-fashioned bodice-ripper but then, settled into an easy to listen to historical tale. Can recommend it to casual history buffs. -Karen G.
